I’ve got some inspirational things I like to post on facebook. Pray for me… would you? I love you so much! Go Vols! (I still sport my orange ties in Oregon!) Then I read a section or 2 in Preach My Gospel, some old conference talks, and some New Testament if time permits. Good stuff! And in English Book of Mormon, I’m reading through again and I’m just out of the Isaiah chapters in 2 Nephi where Nephi lays down some really good chapters about Christ, false churches, and the ever powerful 2 Nephi 31 ( ) about the Gospel of Christ. All about Alma and his bros going to teach the apostate Zoramites. I want to read through it all in Spanish. The first thing I study is almost always a chapter of the Book of Mormon in Spanish. I told her when I get back from my mission, I’m going to go up there for a week to just stay there haha, she said she didn’t blame me! My scripture study is going well. I met this lady today who both of her sons graduated from UT and she knows Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It’s slow, but it’s how Butch Jones is doing it! #BrickByBrick. Our group leader is really awesome and a big help for us though! He served his mission in Peru and knows a lot of the Hispanics we teach. We’ve done a lot of knocking and finding. I’ve also learned to work hard even when I don’t want to. Out of all the power and glory and majesty our Father and Christ have, Their work is to help us return to Them and become like Them. God loves us so much He sent His Son to die for us, and to suffer for us so that when we fall short He can pick us up. But that’s why I love this Gospel and the Atonement. To be united with my family in the celestial kingdom in a state of never ending happiness. But this, is forever.” And that’s my goal at the end of the day. Worry not too much about earthly things because they will pass. All this glory will be added to you if you are firm and endure to the end. I was in the celestial room praying and I received a comforting answer sort of like, “Look up. We go through trials not because God loves us, but He wants to help us grow, He knows our potential. The biggest changes I see on my on my mission are these: One is my view on the Gospel. I had the best dessert last night! It was homemade □ Marionberry pie with blackberry and vanilla ice cream., oh my goodness. It was really awesome! I was really so proud just to see him in the temple. On Saturday I got to do a temple session with a member I had been working with in my old area and had been teaching on Facebook. I spent like $23.50 and it said I saved $99.70! It was awesome. And I got 2 ties there for really cheap, one of them is a Duck Dynasty tie. 9 slacks for $16.50 that were originally like 60 some dollars. I am in Leviticus, Acts, Helaman, D&C, and Abraham, do I’m all over the place. It’s great! In the Scriptures I am studying in every collection we have. ( ) Reading that slowly and prayerfully pondering the message he gives helps me learn many many things. My favorite collection of Scripture? That’s like giving me a plate of crunchy bacon and asking me which one is my favorite… I really love the Book of Mormon, especially right now because I just finished reading King Benajmin’s “conference address” he gave in Mosiah. I’ve also learned that Little Caesar’s makes a mean deep dish! Thank you so much for the gift cards! I’ll definitely use them soon! The only way we don’t fall is if we build our house upon the rock! We know that the Rock is Jesus Christ and His church! In a constant changing whirlwind of morals and values, it’s great to be in a church that won’t change, for we cannot change His commandments.Īt the Cabela’s here in Tualatin they have a fudge place and it reminded me of the time where you taught me how to make fudge! That was fun! I learned how to make papusas (A pupusa is a traditional Salvadoran dish made of a thick, handmade corn tortilla that is usually filled with a blend of the following: cheese cooked pork meat ground to a paste consistency refried beans, or queso con loroco) last night too! That’s about all I learned food wise. Thinking about this election, I’ve learned that our country and the world in general is heading down a slippery slope towards hell. I’ve learned something new every time I’ve been. We went to the temple this week! That was really nice.
